Your deposit is fully refundable when you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled move.Plans change, and we understand! If you need to reschedule within 48 hours of your move, we’ll do our best to transfer your deposit to a new available date rather than have you lose it. In these situations, your arrival time—and in rare cases your moving date—may need to be adjusted. If you have a specialty item, send us the details and photos and we are happy to provide you with a customized quote.

For safety and insurance reasons, there are certain items we cannot transport. These generally include hazardous, flammable, explosive, or corrosive materials such as gasoline, propane, fireworks, certain chemicals, paint thinners, and similar products. We also recommend that customers personally transport medications, cash, jewelry, important documents, and other irreplaceable or highly valuable items. Some unusual or potentially hazardous items may require advance approval. If you’re unsure about something, just send us a photo or description before move day and we’ll let you know whether we can safely transport it.

The cost of a move depends on much more than just the number of bedrooms in your home. Most local moves are based on the amount of time required, the size of the crew, and the equipment needed to complete the move safely. While we’re happy to provide an estimate, it is nearly impossible to predict the exact length of a move in advance. Two homes with the same number of bedrooms can take very different amounts of time. Some of the biggest factors that affect moving time include:How much furniture and how many boxes you haveHow well everything is packed and ready to goThe distance from your home to where the truck can be parkedLong hallways or difficult accessStairs or elevatorsApartment or high-rise building requirementsHow much furniture needs to be disassembled and reassembledHeavy or oversized itemsThe distance between your old and new homeTraffic and parkingWeather and extreme temperaturesHow much wrapping and protection your furniture requiresEven Arizona summer heat can make a difference. Moving a full household when it is 115–120°F requires additional breaks and a safer pace for the crew. A very general starting point for a typical local move with reasonable access and everything packed and ready are as follows:Studio or 1-bedroom: approximately 3–5 hours2-bedroom home: approximately 4–6 hours3-bedroom home: approximately 6–9 hours4-bedroom home: approximately 8–12+ hours5+ bedroom or heavily furnished home: often a full day or may require additional crew members or multiple daysThese estimates include loading and unloading but can vary substantially depending on the circumstances of your move. A three-hour move, for example, may be realistic for a small apartment or lightly furnished home, but it generally is not enough time to completely move a typical three-bedroom household. The more information and photos you provide us before your move, the better we can help you choose the appropriate crew and give you a realistic expectation of the time and cost involved.

We accept Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, credit cards, debit cards, ACH transfers, and cash (for final balances only).Certain electronic payment methods may be subject to a processing fee. Credit card, debit card, and ACH payments are subject to a 4% processing fee. We’ll review your payment options with you before your move so you can choose the method that works best for you.

Tipping is never required or expected, but it is always appreciated if you feel your moving crew provided great service.TKL Moving does not keep any portion of tips. 100% of all tips go directly to the movers who worked on your move.Tips can be given directly to the crew or added to your final payment, depending on the payment method used.
